The Unconventional Singers are back in New York with a brand-new three-night tour, bringing their energy and genre-defying vocal style to the city that first welcomed them in 2022. From July 24 to 26, the Italian ensemble will perform three different a cappella programs in Long Island, each night offering a completely fresh musical journey.
It all begins on July 24 at the Tillies Center with “VOX – A Vocal Journey Through Italian Music”, a whirlwind dive into Italy’s rich musical heritage. From Renaissance madrigals and Verdi’s grandeur to iconic film scores by Morricone and pop gems like Volare and Azzurro, the concert is a vibrant celebration of the Italian voice — reimagined with bold harmonies, humor, and heart.
The following two evenings, July 25 and 26 in Long Island, the group expands its reach beyond Italy, exploring global sounds and unexpected pairings. Different setlists, different moods — but the same daring approach that has become their signature.
Led by composer-arranger Concetta Anastasi, The Unconventional Singers continue to blur the lines between classical and contemporary, blending vocal precision with fearless creativity. What began in Florence during the pandemic has grown into an international movement — one that’s rewriting the rules of a cappella, one note at a time.
